Frequently Asked Questions
-
Each piece is drawn and painted by hand using graphite, charcoal, ink, pastel, gouache, and watercolor, often in mixed media combinations, and finished with gold leaf, gold ink, or silver accents. I work on high-quality cotton paper, sometimes hand-toned and sometimes left natural white, depending on the piece. I work exclusively with these natural materials because their raw, earthy quality suits the emotional and symbolic themes in my work.

My drawings explore the female figure's connection to nature and the inner journey toward transformation and self-understanding. Some pieces are inspired by the Wheel of the Year and the changing seasons, drawing on nature's wisdom and the cycles of renewal, stillness, and growth that mirror our own inner shifts. Each piece also draws on folklore, esoteric traditions, tarot, alchemy, and magical realism to reveal the sense that something sacred is always just beneath the surface.
-
A single original drawing typically takes one to two months to complete, since every piece is made slowly and entirely by hand using graphite, charcoal, and pastel. I complete roughly one medium original, or a small series of postcard-sized pieces, per month.
-
All original drawings are sold framed and ready to hang, with hardware already attached. Frame styles vary by piece, each with acrylic or glass.
-
My drawings are made with graphite and charcoal, delicate materials that can smudge if left unprotected, which is why I chose the framed option. Framing keeps the artwork safe behind glass or acrylic and protects it from dust, moisture, and handling over time.
-
Every original drawing is signed on the front of the mat and on the back of the artwork, and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. This confirms the piece is a hand-made original by avidoma (Adina Somesan), not a reproduction.

Yes. Alongside one-of-a-kind originals, I sell museum-quality Giclée prints in two formats: small-run limited editions, hand-numbered and signed, and A6 open editions from my Postcards from Imaginary Places and seasonal-inspired series. All prints are made on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm, 100% cotton paper, acid and lignin-free for museum-quality age resistance.

An original is a one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn piece in graphite, charcoal, ink, pastel, or mixed media, no two are alike. A Giclée print is a museum-quality archival reproduction of an original drawing, printed on Hahnemühle cotton paper; depending on the edition, it's either hand-signed and numbered (limited edition) or signed on the back (open edition).
-
A limited edition print is produced in a fixed, small run, for example 10 to 50 prints depending on size, each one signed and numbered on the front and accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity; some limited editions, like "Numina," are individually hand-painted with gold ink for an extra artisanal touch. An open edition print has no fixed print run or numbering; these are smaller A6 prints, signed on the back, and stay available as long as the design is offered.
-
The Mini Collection lets you choose any 3 A6 open edition Giclée prints from the available designs and get them bundled at a lower price than buying them individually. It's a way to build a small, personal collection of postcard-sized prints, each printed on 100% cotton paper and signed on the back.
